We are in March, this is my blog and the challenge is to put up a post everyday for the next 13 or 31 days: it’s most likely going to be the latter.
Last Thursday of February, we had a knowledge-sharing session at the office. And I joined the session late because of my brief appearance at Social Media Weeek Lagos.
I joined the session at the point when Precious (my boss that’s fond of calling me boss) was addressing a work-life balance. And we were asked to list a couple of things that we will like to improve on, outside of work.
The first thing I put down was “keeping fit”. Don’t worry, I don’t plan on loosing weight. Just keeping fit. Going out more was second on the list and I didn’t know what else to put.
Then I cheated by looking at Titilola‘s list. An item on her list caught my attention which is writing more on her personal blog. Interestingly, we complained about how our personal blogs are ghost towns less than two weeks ago.
I then added ‘populate my blog’ by writing at least once a week and since it’s my birth month, I will be doing once a day till my birthday or all month.
This will be like the second or third time I’m promising myself to be sharing a part of ‘my side of the story’ on my blog once a while. The difference this time is I have two ‘accountability partners’. And I will be adding Titilola as the third accountability partner, since we have the same mission, sort of.
But then, I haven’t publish any post on Techpoint since the new year. And I have not been lazing around either. In the first three weeks in January, I worked on the Nigerian Startup Funding Report 2019 (annual report).
By February, I jumped on another report: juggling between mental breakdown and the new report which I’m expected to deliver by March ending. And also working on Techpoint Build 2020 on the side.
I also have to intensify preparation for Techpoint Build 2020 — the largest startup conference in West Africa — from tomorrow. Starting with a presentation tomorrow. By the way, registration is currently ongoing for event and we are also in talk with sponsors if you are interested or knows any company that might be.
I think I sounded like Adewale there, with my ‘sales pitch’.
Now back to my list. Two weeks ago, someone I respected told me to take things easy and then this morning, one of my Ogas, with whom I’ve had discussion about mental health a couple of times, send me a voice note to take my mental health seriously.
I have gone ahead to add some other items to the list of things I wanted to improve on and I will be sharing that later. Definitely before the month runs out since I have more to come 😉.
NB: the daily post will definitely be coming in very late. I have a day job besides my day job. By the way, I have a draft blog post about my number one day job among others in my Evernote app.

To the March babies, it’s our month 😉.
Till tomorrow.
