Last year, I crossed two items off my bucket list. And that was the first year that anything would be going off that list.

It’s a win, I think
One of the items was getting a tattoo which I did after an extensive research and consideration, including talking to an healthcare practitioner on the implications.
Tope and I got inked the same day, she got the name of her dad and I got a whole sentence, sort off.
On the first thought of getting a tattoo, I wasn’t sure of the type of tattoo or letters/words to wear. The only inspiration was that I love tattoos, plus my late grandma had tattoo.
Then I traveled to Ethiopia mid-last year and discovered that the East African country has its own unique alphabets. So the decision of using Amharic, Ethiopian language was made.
Now, what will wear?
I have always had ‘Don’t forget to BREATHE…’ as the about on my WhatsApp. And I often put up the phrase ‘life happens’ on my Whatsapp status as well. And I decided to put the two together.

Life happens, don’t forget to breathe
End of story.
It’s been mixed reactions from people since then, not that I care about it tho.
From Adewale that won’t stop talking about it, to an ex who said she always knew that I’m weird and I still don’t know what’s weird about getting a tattoo.
Someone said I will regret it but then, I don’t want to burst the person’s bubble. I hope I don’t even turn it to a recurrent ritual 😏.
My big brother saw it and his question was “What will you said or do if any of your nieces or nephews got tattoo?”
I told him so far the nephew or niece in question is not a cult member or something.
Well, there’s nothing I really can say or do about someone else’s choice.
A very good friend of the Techpoint family saw it last Saturday at the SME Clinic and ask what it means. After telling her what it means, her theory was that I definitely got my heart broken before getting the tattoo. Well, I don’t really know about that 🙃.
Interestingly, I have started nursing the thought of getting another one before leaving the tattoo palace last December.
I also considered getting a nose piercing and I just keep wondering what those that thought tattoo is extreme would say when they see me with a nose ring. And again, not that I care.
I haven’t rule out the possibility of getting a nose piercing 😉. Anyone that that doesn’t like it will be fine.
By the way, the presentation I mentioned yesterday — about Techpoint Build 2020 — went well (I think) after which it was a series of meeting till I left the office today.
Till next time, which is tomorrow 😉.
