It is a race but it isn’t.

Well, it isn’t.

I was very competitive back in primary and junior secondary classes.

We got to senior classes and it was just 4 of us, I think, that were doing the same set of courses in my class.

We weren’t that much: we were 21 in my class while the population of the whole secondary school was just about two hundred plus.

That should address your question of why only four people were doing the same set of courses in a whole class. I was a commercial student, just so you know.

Back to the topic.

After junior school, the focus for us was just about getting good grades in our final exams. It was no longer a competition, just all man for himself.

This brings me to yesterday’s post about my day job. Life isn’t really a competition. Besides, we are all running a different race.

I was born in the same year with a sibling and three other cousins: just months apart.

For the people above, their worry is not longer who to marry or how many kids to bear. They’ve all put a full stop to child bearing. I’m not that old tho.

My kid sister mustn’t see this by the way. She ambushed me just two days ago on WhatsApp, telling me that I must get married this year. In her words, “your stature is deceiving you, right?”

Victor, Beam, my big brother and sister referenced above are all in the same whatsapp group.

Life is not a competition. We should all run our own race.

But my single pringle ass is still taking up my sister’s challenge by the way, so let’s do this.

Just so you know, today was fun. I watched Asa perform live on YouTube. It was massive and I finished a bottle of red wine watching her perform. I just have to put it out there, sorry, I can’t keep calm 😉.
